libraschoice77 | You know who I am talking about lol, those kinds of people who when they say something everyone just eats it up right away, and usually gain favor by most. They have a great knack to persuade also. What placements or aspects make a person golden with words? Or have any experience with someone like this? |
DeepFreeze | Libra for $400, Alex. Seriously, I think libra, not that other signs don't. That just immediately came to mind.
|
libraschoice77 | ^^Lol like your answer, but not all Libras are blessed with this gift, this Libra has a way of saying all the wrong things at the wrong times...so curious about the opposite would be. Mabe an unaspected Venus, or Venus in 5th house? |
summerlite | if it's about timing, it's Capricorn. |
LionFish | Okay well, my first thought was meeeeee. haha No, but really I'm a really good with words and people, and we'll get to that While not focusing on myself for a moment though: I'd say if we're just going with placements Merc in signs Leo Gemini or Sag comes to mind. Libra CAN be one of those people, but I don't think it's "standard" for them. After all, Libras do like to, uhm, debate lol Back to me I have Moon sextile Mercury, Mercury conjunct Sun 9H, and Mercury trine Leo ASC. I love to talk, whether it's to myself, friends, or strangers I definitely have the gift of gab which is probably why I love Gemini Moons, come to think of it!! Now, I do have a disclaimer: Anger. If I'm mad not everyone is going to appreciate what comes out of my mouth, more accurately the person I'm mad at will definitely understand just how upset I am. And it's immediate and intense. I blame my Mars/Uranus square my Mercury for this. I have noticed though, that other people around usually seem to be rooting for me and when the "scene" is over I have others telling me "Wow, they deserved that, good job" so I guess that still kinda fits, too. |
theunknown | Venus and jupiter trine Asc Mercury trine venus Mercury conjunct Saturn - the evolved type |
DeepFreeze | It depends possibly. In light, superficial conversation, sure. I usually can. In deep conversation I struggle and need to think carefully. The difference possibly between my libra asc and mercury in 12th. Even though it's Virgo... I still struggle. |
23 | Definitely Venus conjunct Mercury. They are always able to say something nice and make you fell better, never a mean word. That was my dad and one of my kids. Persuasion would be something to do with Jupiter as Jupiter counsels. |
Aries Eagle | The diplomat Libra.
|
Faith | Scorpio. They always know what to say. |
libraschoice77 | Would make sense about Venus/Mercury, or a well placed Mercury in chart. Along with air Moons who seem to be able to convey their emotions perfectly into words. |

I noticed this too, the Scorpios I have known are not only good with words, they can basically read people easy and put them in their place verbally. My Scorpio stepfather was like this, he also had an Aqua Moon, if you did him wrong or got on his nerves he had no mercy with words he would tell you things about yourself or make you aware of your shortcomings that made you feel only 2 inches tall! But on a positive note he was also a brilliant story teller which made alot of family friends want to come over and talk to him. |

My mom has sun in Leo with Mercury in Virgo and she is like this to a certain extent. She always has the right thing to say! She can talk to people and get them all happy and joking around. She doesn't get the full benefit though, too many twelfth house planets, so it's like she is too nervous to take on too much. If she wanted and were not a tad bit timid, she could have done a lot more with her gift. I have Libra Mercury conjunct Jupiter and I am terrible at this. I am way too quiet. I also know a Taurus sun with Taurus Mercury who is pretty good at this too, and another Leo sun with Leo Mercury. Seems like everyone I know is good at it but me

Interesting, I always figured having Mercury conjunction Jupiter would make a person great with words and especially making people laugh. |

I am really good at humor, awful at small talk. |
theunknown | Oh, the thing with Jupiter and humor is these ppl can be bluntttt |

I don't turn people into targets by picking on them. My brand of humor is irony. To me it's more subtle and a bit more sophisticated than just humor for humor's sake. I appreciate wit and irony. That's my favorite brand of humor. |

Coz you are a Virgo haha (is your mercury in Virgo btw?) My grandmom has jupiter conjunct sun and mercury. She's a pisces so she's sweet most of the time. But man, she wants gave ink to ppl and told them it's perfume, went up to the hospital and put a corpse up to show her bravado (this was back in 1940s) I don't think she is blunt per se but lots of things she does rub ppl the wrong way. But it might be her other aspects as well. Mercury conjunct jupiter means one is smart so it's a good aspect to have |

One thing I do that reminds me of Mercury conjunct Jupiter in Libra, Mars in Sagittarius, third house is whenever someone is disrespectful to me, I do get somewhat irritated at first; however, I end up turning it and them into a joke in the end. Like, I will turn them into a silly character and sorta poke fun at them in this way instead of getting revenge in a harsher way. It's how I feel vindicated. I know other Mars in Sagittarius who cope in similar ways. Libra wants some kind of justice and that's how I go about getting it. |
theunknown | ^^^^gotcha |
DialecticLady | I think mercury conjunct pluto, saturn on MC/10th house. |
